HIMABSI Successfully Conducts Design and Editing Class by INFOKOM Division

September 2025 — The English Language and Literature Student Association (HIMABSI) proudly organized a Design and Editing Class program, carried out by the Information and Communication Division (INFOKOM). This program aimed to equip English Language and Literature students with fundamental skills in graphic design and video editing using user-friendly applications.

The Design and Editing Class was held on Saturday and Sunday, September 13-14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the HIMABSI external secretariat. The class featured comprehensive lessons and practical sessions focused on designing posters, flyers, and other visual content using Canva, as well as basic video editing techniques on CapCut.

Expert instructors led the sessions, including Arya Firmansyah Syam, a specialist in design applications like Canva, and Muhammad Ilmi Zulfikar, an experienced video editor skilled in CapCut. The curriculum covered essential skills such as creating new projects, utilizing Canva’s various features, and saving designs. For CapCut, participants learned how to apply transitions, add text, effects, sounds and sound effects, time remapping, and masking techniques.

An engaging competition was held following the practical exercises, where participants showcased their flyer designs on Canva and video edits on CapCut. Winners were awarded attractive prizes, further motivating students to enhance their creative skills.

This program was designed to provide English Language and Literature students with accessible knowledge and hands-on experience in digital design and video editing, empowering them to develop skills relevant to today’s multimedia landscape.
