SEMINAR KESUSASTRAAN : In Celebration Of The Unniversary Of English Language And Literature

        

        On Thursday 31 May 2023 At 09.00 WITA, the department of english language and literature held a literature seminar in commemoration of its 24 th Anniversary. This activity was held at the Auditorium of UIN Alauddin. this seminar was guided by the chairman of the department of English language and literature Dr Rosma Tami S.Ag, S.S, M.A and the secretary of the department Sandra Dewi Dahlan S.pd along with the lecturers who attended. 

         The event began with the recitation of the holy quran verses brought by sister ainy nur amalia then sang again indonesia raya and mars adab which was guided, then remarks from the chairman of the committee, namely muhammad rheza, remarks from the general chairman of himabsi aldhita dakiyyah adnan, remarks from the chairman of the FAH student senate representing akmal, remarks from the chairman of the FAH student dema representing ince muhammad alwan, and remarks from the chairman of the department of English language and Literature Dr rosma tami S.Ag, S.S, M.A. 

        After the speeches, the event continued with the cutting of tumpeng as a symbol of the 24 th Anniversary of the department. the cutting of this tumpeng adds to the nuances of kinship and togetherness among lecturers and students. The english language and literature department held this literature seminar to introduce and to deepen students' understanding of english literature from various perspectives. as for the main speaker of this seminar activity is Dr Aslan Abidin, M.A. A writer and lecturer of English Language and Literature at Makassar State University and Nanda Hidayat as the moderator. Many students of English Language and Literature enthusiastically welcomed and came to the seminar. They actively participated in the question and answer sessions and discussions held. This seminar is also a place for students to increase their insight and knowledge about literary aspects and expand their academic network. 

        The department of english language and literature hopes that through this seminar, students can better express and understand the values contained in literary works. In addition, this activity is also expected to motivate students to work and develop their abilities in the field of literature.
